Lil Migs, Big World

The idea for Lil Migs, Big World began in the back of a Megabus heading to New York City in May of 2018. I was setting out for my first solo trip abroad: a month backpacking in Europe. At the time, I had no idea what I was doing or what I even wanted out of a blog of my travels, but something within urged me to start a Tumblr page. In those early days, I set out to chronicle what would ultimately be a trip that changed my life forever. What started as a place to put down my daily thoughts, became a platform for me to share my story as a victim of police brutality. In the rubble of what could rightfully have dashed all of my future aspirations to travel, I found strength in my defiance as a young, queer Black person striving to make a space for myself in this world. This website is a manifestation of all that I have learned and all that I have yet to understand, and I only wish to share it with you all.
