Costa Rica
My time in Costa Rica so far has only amounted to 10 days. The past couple years, given my commitments to school and work, I’ve had to limit myself to similarly short trips, that often involve a great deal of running around with my tote bag (because flying Spirit with no bags is the ultimate travel hack). Still, no trip, so far, has seemed as jam-packed with action and adventure as my time in Costa Rica. In just 10 days I saw both coasts of the country, made friends from all over, and managed to write about it all in real-time (no tiny feat!). In part, I think the act of journaling really kept me present and in the moment. Time truly did slow down, and what was only a week and a few days came to feel like a month.
